The Ghost and I

14:40
Maybe it was all a dream but it seemed pretty real (in the beginning encounter.)  I couldn't tell between the realities when I was asleep.  I've always been a superstitious person and it upsets me.  I had a certain period in my life when I was afraid to go to the bathroom because I feared what would come out of the mirror.

There's a closet that's located across the bathroom in the hallway that leads to the living room at my residence.  A few times, I walked through the hallway and would see a guy standing in front of the closet.  He was expressionless but also looked solemn.  When I questioned him, he wouldn't answer so I tried to drag him to move out of the way only to fall through.  I sorta freaked and no one would listen when I told them my house was haunted...=x=  The guy eventually disappeared into the closet.

I forgot the more detailed fragments because I woke up since the delivery man was knocking on the door.  Anyhow, I was part of some goodwill organization and we were going to leave some gifts at some tombs of people whose graves remain empty because they had no relatives.  Someone went with me to deliver condolences.  I left a wrapped up gourd at one grave.  The tomb next to it had a long cherry wooden table (you know those low rise tables that can only be used when you sit on the floor; mainly seen in historical Asian dramas where the royals use it for scribing?)---it's strange why we would give a dead person such furnishings.  Anyhow, as we were leaving, a bandit came and took the wrapped gourd.  When I managed to get it back, the guy went after the table (>.> this is starting to sound more like a dream xD) It turns out that the grave belonged to that ghost I was talking about earlier.  Then there's probably a scene where they explain the reason for giving a scroll table to the guy.  In the end, I guess the thief went mad because he saw spirits and the ghost was finally able to rest in peace.

I really liked the dream :X  Wish I remembered more of it.

I went Metropolitan Museum of Art for the third time.  I keep forgetting that going to a museum is quite a tantalizing experience if one was to stay too long.  It must be the smell given off by the ancient pieces that linger the senses... but I always feel quite exhausted after a while; dizzy as well.  But don't get me wrong, I enjoy visiting museums and seeing what they have to offer.

I went to the MET accompanying Nana and her cousin Ruola so the prior can do her extra credit work.  The last two times I went was for extra credit or project orientated, though we just had to show evidence that we did go.  Nana had to find certain paintings and answer questions about them... It was irritating looking for certain works but we managed to get them all after two hours.  The most annoying thing about museums is the size.  There are so many miniature rooms categorized under one heading and it gets confusing. What surprised me most of all was the line to get into the museum.  It stretched longer than the time I went to the JYP auditions but moved faster.  It was shocking having to walk to the end which was at least 30 feet away because the last few times I went, we just went in without waiting (I was smart this time because I didn't bring food.)  Overall, the art pieces were amazing and appeals to leave a fascinating impression.  Nana might post some of the pictures because she had a camera.

I haven't been very productive during my vacation thus far... It upsets me but I'd still rather read manga, fold origami and watch dramas and movies instead of doing homework (even if I wasn't on vacation)... I opened my schoolbag yesterday to see what has to be done.  I was fortunate because I found out that the Rock Candy lab that is due for Chemistry required at least 7 days so if I was to start yesterday, I had exactly 7 days before break is over.  I hurried over to my cousin's house so she can help me out and now I just need to wait exactly 7 days.  My rock candy is flavored with lemon extract, which wasn't part of the ingredients but I added it in... hopefully it doesn't mess up the whole procedure.

The day before winter vacation started, I brought in fruit pudding for most of my friends but ended up giving away a few to people I rarely talk to because I felt bad if I were to reject them.  Towards the end of the day, I just gave everyone else candy :X  What sucked most is I made kusudamas for some people who were giving me gifts but as I was going to school... one of them broke and I end up losing a piece.  I didn't finish putting together  the Arabesque one and during lunch, I ended up loosing about seven pieces of the it (they might've been thrown out with some lunch trays.)  While I was working on the broken kusudama (I'm not sure what it's called) in the library during my free period (Veronika was nice enough to give me some computer paper to make more pieces)... it was strange but it seems I lost a lot more pieces somehow.  If it was just one, that would've been fine but maybe ten pieces were missing so I wasn't able to give anyone their present...

The friend that ditched me on Halloween came over when I was at the museum and gave me a box full of chocolates for Christmas (but since it's so late, I feel like it was just a last minute thought.)  I'm not sure what to make of it.  After that heart-breaking experience followed by no contact whatsoever...  I'd thought we'd just broken off just like that.  Oh woe...

Flele

21:51

I came across Flele, a sound ghost music player.  For more in depth info, visit here.  Basically, you download and unzip the file.  Click the icon to open (I made a shortcut in my taskbar for it.)  A character will appear, you drag *mp3 file to it and it'll start "singing" along.  Very cute :3  My current one is the original character Lechat from X-Down by rannsama.  You can find more flele from dA.

Man I have no life...  Today, I wasted about two hours working on a little guide >.>

The rat, it drowns

19:47
Edit: The tissues made my grandpa very happy.  He was giddy and all.  I mean, 250 2-ply for $1?!  And it's from Scotties; my family's favorite tissue brand (because it's all soft~)  So nostalgic, the tissue I've used in my childhood :O

My dad bought $55 worth of tissue... Yeah, I should probably stop complaining about the constant lose of money.  Anyhow, it seems I've misplaced my keys.  I expect it to be located at that Italian restaurant because I vaguely remember dropping all my stuff.  While I was gathering everything, I saw my keys but unconsciously, didn't bother to pick it up?!  Now I need to go to the restaurant one of these days, hopefully before my grandparents find out.

There's been (a) rat(s) living under my bed the past few months.  Once in a while, I would gather all my stuff and compact it so the rat can't make a home in any roomy places; my grandmother has always said my bed was a breathing ground for critters and rodents---I live in a pigsty.  My brother used to buy some snacks and we would hide it under my bed; in a rush to keep it in stealth from my grandparents.  When we finally remember it was down there, we found the packaging clawed through and some of the edibles had been consumed.  Indirectly, we were helping them noisy rodents live and thrive.  One time, one of those bastards got stuck in the sink.  It couldn't get out.  My ignorant mother stuck her hand in to grab it by the tail and it used her arm as a ramp to escape.   We were constantly able to capture one rat, and another would come into the open after a few days... they probably breed like rabbits.

I came home and my grandpa tells me the most recent (and probably last) rat has been trapped.  I saw the metal box rattle; apparently, the rodent was still alive.  Later on, my grandpa brings the container and hoses water into the tiny slits.  The rat probably drowned.

So they're not rats... they are mice.  I don't give a damn because they are both annoying pests.

My parents went out to refund the monitor... we lost the $10 that paid for shipping.  My dad found an iPhone and gave it to my brother.  We used the refunded money to get a $25 charger.  It was puny and can't even be considered a charger because all you do is attach it to the computer.  I searched up some chargers online...  There are Home/Car charger packs that cost $25...  I hate you Best Buy.  How can you lie to people like this?

I plan to refund one of my Pond's Cold Cream to get some money to pay for my brother's fine.  The thing is, I got the receipt in which my mom used her credit card.  I'm thinking of exchanging it for the Dry Skin Cream and going back another day to refund it for cash (since I got a separate receipt where the latter was bought with cash.)

I sorta regret going to Molly's birthday dinner yesterday.  The thing is, I wasted my $20 of life savings on spaghetti.  It's not worth it.  I wouldn't have mind if I got more variety and dishes if we had gone to a classic Chinese restaurant instead.  I mean, we didn't even know what to order.  I pity Jeffrey who got some sort of sausage and bitter greens dish.  The total bill came up to about $330.  Each dish was at least $15...  I don't think I'll ever go to an Italian restaurant again.

I want to go to the school play on Wednesday.  I need $10...  I'm probably gonna have to use half of what's left of my money now.

Sorry if no one really cares about what I spend money on but these financial issues are really bringing me down :(  How will I be able to spend for Christmas, I wonder.

Sleeping Late

00:27
I made my brother's library fine $26 for overdue books and I promised I would keep his card valid...  Now I need money to pay the fine in order to continue borrowing books (limit is $15) and renew the current ones.  I can't ask my parents because I know they don't have money, would question me and then tell my relatives about how I'm kinda ruining my family financially (they did this when they found out I wasted all my Chinese New Years money on book orders back in 2nd grade.)  This is quite strange considering I've always thought that I never really get what I want.  On the contrary, I think it's better this way because it saves up for the things I actually need and these needs are usually expensive :X

My brother is a dick.  He sleeps at 1 or 2 every night; even when he doesn't even fucken have homework.  It's pissing me off knowing that he's ruining his health and my XP computer by stressing it.  He took up Maplestory again and I just can't take that he's wasting another year of his life; how could he have not realized when he wasted 2 years of his life a while back?!  I wanted my brother to become an average kind of man, with a little or more build; not a fatass geek who wouldn't even be able to get a girl.  I bet he's going to regret this in the future since I'm failing to help him open his eyes to the consequences now.  It's my fault as well since I started sleeping so late.  I wish I could sleep earlier... this is becoming a terrible habit.

Holy crap, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to react but my dad saw me reading what he probably interprets as p0rn.  I read worse things but I try to keep them all stealth... pretty good at it too, considering I used to read smut when my grandparents were right behind me watching television.  I was reading the latest chapter of Say I Love You; haven't read girly romance manga in a while.  It's actually really cute but since it's set around high school kids, its obvious there would be hints of sexual acts involved.  There's no explicit content though!  It just so happened I open the chapter image and it was the image to the left.  It does look a bit perverted but after reading the chapter, I interpreted the image as portraying the innocence of the character.
I apologize if the image "tainted" you.  Get over it.  Oh and Xin Ru, you're probably the only person whose blog I've yet commented on.  Will get to you soon!  ><
