Testing Comes to a Close

13:24

I took the DDP test today; armed with a late night (one-o'clock) preparation resolve. Really, I'm still a bit sick from catching the cold (or whatever illness in which symptoms include a lot of snot in the nose and phlegm in my irritated throat. My proctor for the test was the Mediation teacher Ms. Mirano. I think I got 7/8 of the Part A multiple choice---the remaining 1/8 I could've nailed if only I'd actually study instead of skimming. Parts B and C were alright and I managed to get a few questions with the helping hand of my nifty cheat sheet (this was allowed---8.5 x 11 handwritten page.) I had most trouble with the questions concerning assemblies and features concerning the actual CAD program. It's not my fault I was unable to do most of the tutorials with the lack of the software at home and besides, my teacher wasn't very good at her job, suffice to say. Most of the DDP teachers aren't good with their present occupation... They don't teach what we need to know, expect us to learn it on our own, or are just plain terrible at allowing students to understand the point they want to get across.

While waiting for my dad after the test, the security guards kept calling us of the premises. I couldn't go to the park across the street to sit since people were playing football and the security guard told us to not go there anyhow 'cause it was dangerous. I ended up crutching a few blocks to Apple Bee's, near the train station since there were places I could sit. My dad told my mom I walked and I got yelled at. I tried to calm her down by explaining the situation I was in---then she got all mad at the security guards, threaten to file a complaint to the school and the like. I'm sure she's just in her traditional habit of discriminating people...

Did I mention that on the "last" day of school, I had to stay until 5 for DDP tutoring? I had to finish my portfolio and the Bat Mobile project---problems with the printer only prolonged our stay and on that day, the teachers were the ones who wanted us out when we're not done so they can leave. I swear, I better get my portfolio back---it's colorful awesomeness wasted all my ink and I spent money on the friggin' protectors...and the binder itself, along with the timeless hardwork and dedication put into its completion. If they trash it so I've heard, I'm gonna sue.

Technology Hates Me

18:35

I've been having problems with my monitor lately. This is but the present display of technology's grudge through a half-decade history. I'm quite certain that the problems persists because it's old and so it's components are wearing out but I just can't understand WHY NOW?! I've got a Spanish project draft due (typed), research and compile 1-2 pages of notes for a "sub-topic" of Ancient Greek inventions/achievements for English, some sort of analysis on the Goddess Artemis for english (typed), and a DDP Powerpoint due... Now with a screen that blacks out constantly every few seconds, I can't get anything done.

This condemns me to the last resort of using the big, bulky, antique monitor originally bundled with the Windows 98 computer my dad happened to pick up. Now the depth of my desk where it's to be held, is not even two feet and so the screen takes up all the depth space, leaving no room for my keyboard which is currently hanging over the edge. Then there's the problem with having my face too close to the screen and I can't do anything about it since my chair only has barely enough room to maneuver in with the sofa behind and all.

I'm desperate, anyone have an extra monitor they're willing to lend?

Happy SAD Valentine's Day

23:58
There's not much to write about since it's not at all that exciting. The clutter of projects and homework that was assigned prior to the break has ruined my expectations for a relaxing vacation. I have two group projects due for English and I still don't get shit about what we need to do... another for DDP but it's going to turn out like bullshit because my partner and I have clashing personas when it comes to academic work. Then there's the usual long global, boring biology, and the long boring bio lab. I woke up at 2 today, sleeping later than 2 at night so if this habit keeps up, instigating procrastination, the results is a screwed me [seem like dejavu? Well it's not; it's just that I never learn...]

My plans for break were catching up in anime I'ven't (lmao, double contraction---oh the laziness) touched in weeks; maybe months. Then I gotta extract new PNGs for my archive which I haven't done so in months. There's the collaboration, the makeover for my Obscure which had been postponed for months... Posting on recent forums, daily... Ugh, so much to do in so little time.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to those lovers out there (although I believe everyday should be Valentine's Day for you because it's illogical to make just one day special for your lover) and Happy SAD (Single's Awareness Day) to the singles.

What Happened Yesterday, Stays Yesterday

16:50

Ugh, so yesterday, after school, I went to Seth Low Park to play basketball with Joyce. We didn't have a basketball though... so we just handballed with Michelle. It was so friggin' cold. This guy, Stanley, who couldn't speak english fluently (has the Chinese accent) kept pissing Michelle off by throwing her ball over the fence and onto the sidewalk. After some handball, we went over to a random guy who was playing basketball on his own and asked if we could play too. I was on his team and apparently, he didn't think of me as his teammate because he never passes the ball to me and just runs and shoots. I think the guy preferred to play alone since he didn't look like he was into the whole idea of playing basketball with us. We went back to handball and found that I once again, suck at serving ;I I got better at hitting the ball though since my hands were probably frozen solid. It was funny how Michelle tried serving with ice. The players on the other side got their ball out and one of the guys thought Michelle was gonna get it for them but instead, she goes for the ice xD I left after about an hour since I had to accompany my mom and brother to my great aunt's house. Olfie is so cute <333 >///<

I get home around 6 and started panicking. I had to study for the DDP final that I had today and since I didn't want to hog the computer, I decided I'll try studying all the powerpoints and documents on my ancient Windows 98 (not even SE, it's a first edition ~.~). However, I didn't have Microsoft installed on that computer since it only had 5 gb space and 63 mb RAM (they said it was 64...my ass). I decided I would have to probably convert the powerpoints to a .doc file so I could open in Wordpad or something. I first tried to look for some powerpoint viewer program but none of them supported my Windows 98 (it works for SE but not FE ;_;). Then I decided searched up converters and I tried various software that converted the powerpoints to .pdf, .txt, .doc, and even webpage files. Most of them were trials and had stupid limitations (convert only part of each file, etc.) or they just ended up looking extremely messed up. It just so happened that Microsoft had a plug-in for Office 2007 that could save all files into .pdf files that actually look exactly like the slides. Having wasted about one or two hours finding a conversion program, I wasted another 15 minutes converting them. It was probably 10 by the time I tried to view the files on the ancient computer and so I put in my USB to find that I'd removed Adobe Reader from the computer. I had to go back and interrupt my brother during his game to download Adobe Reader 3 (newer versions don't support Windows 98). So the Adobe Reader does read .pdf files but because it's so old and outdated, it couldn't support new features and then errors keep coming up and I couldn't read half the slide because since it didn't support new features, it couldn't show them and just left a blank screen. By this time, I was desperate. Literally almost breaking down, I called Molly for her help and she was to make a study guide and send it to me (which I never got...) Fortunately, my brother got off the computer and P sent me study guides~ I didn't study though, I was tired and wanted to relax so I just read manga till 2:00 in the morning :D

I love Kasugai Nodo Ni Sukkiri Fruit Candy (well their candy in general...)

Oh! The Horror!

18:47
I got pegged in the stomach with a volleyball today. It hurt like shit. I actually heard the hydrochloric acid in my stomach make a swishing sound (I'm hungry and theres nothing in there but liquid).

I think phys. ed. is very funny for some reason. I laugh every time someone hits the ball. That volleyball must've somehow hurt my head and deleted some brain cells along with bruising my stomach.

I should be doing my spanish project given a few weeks months ago and I wait till last minute. *sigh* Looks like another all nighter and I'm not gonna be able to go on the computer over the weekend because I'm taking all of my brother's computer time.

I was mad piss yesterday. I found out that my DDP-PLTW blackboard site got deleted due to inactivity for 30 days. I think I should've at least gotten a notice. I'm sure they sent it, just never got it. This happened before with my other school/educational site Common Concept (collective of school-related sites concerning projects and such) and it made me want to drown in tears. I worked really hard on the layouts and such; made it all from scratch without photoshop coding and designing. I think I got over it. Luckly, I was smart to back-up the whole DDP site ahead of time so I just had to reupload 100 mb of shit.

I spent a lot of time helping P make a Hate Mikhail and probably some school related purpose forum. It'll be open sooner or later: Here (P wanted me to remove it). Still in progress stages.

I though I had more to write today but I can't remember. I'll edit this when it comes back.

I hate DDP-PLTW. You'd think I would actually favorite this class since I'm into computer designing stuff and the related, but I just despise the class so much. Our instructor loads up with so much work; expecting us to multitask. I didn't know, but the Inventor tutorials were due today. It was lucky that I had most of the tutorials done since everyone shares :] Sucks for us, who don't have the program at home (hey, I tried and wasted about 8 hours of my life). I was panicking to finish the leftover objects that were due and when I got to the additional exercises for Fillets and Rounds and Revolver, I blanked. That shit is so hard to comprehend I decided to just give up. I was missing like one other besides these two and it's all because she talked to fast for us to write down everything that's due. She kept changing the due date as well so confusion just overtook me. I got no clue what we're even supposed to accomplish.

We ran out of time for her to check everyone's tutorials. She demanded those who haven't been graded go after 9th period to show her, so I had to stay at the library for a pointless period. When we went to the classroom, it was overcrowded with Outreach people and when she finally came 10 minutes later, she said she'll give us an extension and will check on Wednesday. MAD GAY! I needed to leave after 9th for no reason. I hated leaving after 9th and there are many reasons for it. First and foremost, I dislike how crowded it is. Second, I don't want to run into people because they expect me to say hi and talk to them, acting all friendly when we barely know each other. I just don't fit in with those crowds of people I know. It also makes me feel sad to see people I know from way back, how we used to talk and all and they've (as well as I've) changed so much we probably don't get along anymore.

In another event, I think I've made a bad impression for this guy DDP instructor (I think someone said he was Mr. Williams but I think they got mixed up---he was older with gray in his hair). I forgot my USB and went to get it 7th period, when I had lunch and that teacher had a class. I felt bad for disrupting his class and he made me go through this whole procedure for making sure the USB drive was mine. I ono, he seemed friendly enough but I could tell he was annoyed >.>" Later when I went to the classroom where Outreach was held for my tutorials to be checked, I went outside the room to wait and he came and closed the door on me ==" I'm pretty sure he recognized me...

I got a 99 on my spanish test which was surprising because I was so sure I failed (spanish grammar is so complicated). What's more surprising is I got a 99 on my bio test :O (94 without extra credit). That test was hard! Anyhow, it made my day :] I just hope I can keep this up for the rest of the year and then the next three.

DDP Frustration and Beer

17:15

DDP is really getting on my nerves. Not only did I fail the midterm so badly because I got confused about how they worded the damn question, but today, we once again see how much of an ass M***** (the annoying and probably most disliked person in the cluster---names shall not be mentioned) is. Because of this guy's irresponsibility, we are no longer allowed any freedom of speech with our peers or to walk around during our class work to aid others, unless given permission by our teacher. And it's because a certain someone *cough*fcktard*cough* misplaced his notebook. There is a possibility that someone took it as a joke and so the teacher got angry (since I'm pretty sure, she noticed, no one really like M*****, but that didn't mean we should pick on him) and threatened to call the dean if it were not found. The notebook was later discovered on the table in front of ours but no one knew who actually took it. I guess it was originally there; either the culprit placed it there unnoticed, or maybe, M*****, who always walks around asking for help all the time, left it there. Either way, he was careless for not taking care of his belongings. Since this incidence, our DDP instructor took away our freedom and if I were to perhaps, utter a word; I will receive a 5 point deduction.

I also have a DDP project due and I feel bad that my partner is doing most of the work while I laze around reading yaoi on the computer...I should really get started but procrastination is a habit that's hard to break.

Biology class is interesting, despite not understanding most of the things. Today, we learned how to make beer :O It was mentioned that a glass of wine is good for you because it is an anti-oxidant so it was concluded that biology teaches us that: Alcohol is good and Oxygen is bad.
