Regents Grades

11:30
93, 94, 95, 96, 97
Spanish, Trig, Global, Chemistry, English (WTF)

Lol.  They are consecutive.  I'm upset that I messed up the standard deviation question on the trig regents; I got it right the first time but that stupid word "population" made me change it... I could've gotten a 96-98 :O!  I'm surprised about Spanish though; I've maintained a 97+ average and this is what I get?  I know I shouldn't complain but I'm a bit upset because I don't think I did my best >.>

Relatively New

23:07
So I went out to get my XP fixed and I find out that it was a hard drive problem that can't be fix.  I had to get a new 160gb hard drive and that totaled $55 with the $35 labor of installing it along with getting back some data from the damaged drive.  The guy was gonna get my data back for free (if it was a few mb which turned out to be 10 gigs) so if I just left with my hard drive not installed, I could've saved $35 (not actually saying I can do it myself but it can't be that hard connecting a few wires, could it?---he took out the hard drive in like 1 minute.)  It's not even guarantied the XP can last 3 months considering all the other components are so fcken ancient.

Oh oh oh, I'm so worried for my family's finances this month.  We spent maybe $400 more than usual (and most of it is on credit which isn't used so often!) and now they plan to get a friggin' drawer?  (Although I do think we need one since our current one has crooked shelfs that separate the clothes in a zig zig pattern.)

Gosh, wasted like 5 hours today reinstalling some programs and the like.  I still have an English essay I've yet started!!!

What's long and hard?

19:32
No it's not a penis.

It's the PSATs (credits to Molly for the joke.)
I didn't bother studying for it; just didn't have the time due to my procrastination that resulted in finishing homework at 1 yesterday.

The train was really crowded today; I was nearly suffocating. These circumstances seems to prolong this unfortunate ride.

I was almost late for PSATs although there were people who were later than me. What sucked was that we ddin't get our 5 minute break between sessions 3 and 4 cause the teacher is a noob.

I think I did fairly better in reading than math, although I had to rush through them both. I'm quite confident in my grammar skills most of the time after getting 9/10 right in that session on this practice test my teacher gave last week. My vocabulary sucks though I risked getting -1/4 due actually answering the questions anyhow.

I got a math test tomorrow. The last of the marking period. I'm pretty sure that even if I pass with a 100 (which is quite impossible), I'm going to fail the class anyway. Yet I try, I went to tutor today. I think my factoring has improved recently though all the other materials... can't say much about that; especially inequality word problems!

Currently doing English homework. It is going to take a while. I hope I at least have some time to attempt studying for math.

Wtf is a sexton?!

Slip + Fall = Damage

00:16

To think that swim gym couldn't get worse... it does. On Thursday, we started going underwater to retrieve rings. It's no surprise I didn't even manage to get one >.> Swimming just isn't my forte and so, not realizing it was time to get out, I ended up being on of the last ones to make it to the locker. I didn't have time to put on my flip flops and was just speed walking barefoot, slipping although managing my balance a couple of times (*ahem*warning signs but I was stupid to have ignored). Right outside the girl's locker room, the water finally got me. I slipped and fell backwards and in those few seconds, I've injured my lower back, sides and some of my gluteus as well. I suffered throughout these past two days with terrible aches and pains and I started getting stomach aches as well.

The night of the incidence was probably one of the worse in my life. I had English Gods and Goddess project due the next day (having procrastinated for weeks on end) along with the usual long Global homework, Spanish project (who knew drawing monsters were so hard?!), and a few other things. I spent four hours on English and only managed to finish the analytic piece, giving up with starting the creative part. I gave up on math since I didn't get most of it and global, I had to copy... Throughout all the work, I started panicking, stressing, and all those other terrible feelings one may feel when they're in deep shit. Not only was I mentally affected, but physically as well; trying to cope with the side pain and then I started getting the damn stomach aches that are probably caused by indigestion and constipation (I had suspicions that these cases are associated with my injury...when I fell, it is likely my digestive system got all messed up). I seriously broke down that night because the stomach aches were like the worse cramps ever, without of few moments of relief. I couldn't get rid of it unless I took a crap, which I couldn't (tried like two times, sitting on the toilet for about 30 minutes each...with no results and still). In the end, my grandma just gave me some Chinese medicine that caused me to constantly burp as I went to sleep.

Technology Hates Me

18:35

I've been having problems with my monitor lately. This is but the present display of technology's grudge through a half-decade history. I'm quite certain that the problems persists because it's old and so it's components are wearing out but I just can't understand WHY NOW?! I've got a Spanish project draft due (typed), research and compile 1-2 pages of notes for a "sub-topic" of Ancient Greek inventions/achievements for English, some sort of analysis on the Goddess Artemis for english (typed), and a DDP Powerpoint due... Now with a screen that blacks out constantly every few seconds, I can't get anything done.

This condemns me to the last resort of using the big, bulky, antique monitor originally bundled with the Windows 98 computer my dad happened to pick up. Now the depth of my desk where it's to be held, is not even two feet and so the screen takes up all the depth space, leaving no room for my keyboard which is currently hanging over the edge. Then there's the problem with having my face too close to the screen and I can't do anything about it since my chair only has barely enough room to maneuver in with the sofa behind and all.

I'm desperate, anyone have an extra monitor they're willing to lend?

Happy SAD Valentine's Day

23:58
There's not much to write about since it's not at all that exciting. The clutter of projects and homework that was assigned prior to the break has ruined my expectations for a relaxing vacation. I have two group projects due for English and I still don't get shit about what we need to do... another for DDP but it's going to turn out like bullshit because my partner and I have clashing personas when it comes to academic work. Then there's the usual long global, boring biology, and the long boring bio lab. I woke up at 2 today, sleeping later than 2 at night so if this habit keeps up, instigating procrastination, the results is a screwed me [seem like dejavu? Well it's not; it's just that I never learn...]

My plans for break were catching up in anime I'ven't (lmao, double contraction---oh the laziness) touched in weeks; maybe months. Then I gotta extract new PNGs for my archive which I haven't done so in months. There's the collaboration, the makeover for my Obscure which had been postponed for months... Posting on recent forums, daily... Ugh, so much to do in so little time.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to those lovers out there (although I believe everyday should be Valentine's Day for you because it's illogical to make just one day special for your lover) and Happy SAD (Single's Awareness Day) to the singles.

Finished? Apparently not.

17:42
Ugh! I thought my day was going along contently as usual but it turned worse. I took my Spanish finals today and although there were 70 multiple choice questions to be done in an hour, I managed to complete it 2/3 of the time and spent the last few minutes checking. I think I did okay and probably passed since the questions were really basic and not too complicated, although I must admit, some did stump me. I also took my gym "final". He'd given us a sheet in advance and half of the stuff on the test wasn't even on the study sheet. The study sheet covered the fundamentals of volleyball but never in my life, had I found true/false questions so demanding... I probably failed but I don't mind for some reason...

Things started turning worse after that. I went to English and found I have lost or been robbed of my water bottle =-=" so I had to suffer dehydration for the rest of the day (it was right after gym too). Our board was not finished since none of our writing pieces were glued on. We didn't haven't scissors to cut the paper margins either so we turned to ripping and pasting them all over the place. Our analysis was supposed to be pasted onto a calender scroll but we couldn't find it so we had to improvise and just stuck extra colored paper we had and glue the pieces of ripped up analysis pieces to it... (the calender was later found in M's locker ~.~) I could've sworn that the whole time we were gluing and ripping and trying to make it look nice, Wasserstein kept talking and explaining (maybe to an extent that he was actually trying to give us some time?). Anyway, we were missing pieces such as the Progress Log (I forgot to type it the previous day so I had to rewrite it neatly quickly...) and draft along with notes. After we were done, we had to review other projects and my group was just so confused because we weren't listening. We managed somehow but the period left me upset and tired.

I go to biology to find that my class is potentially in danger of loosing points because Weber lost a copy of the final test packet. It was so weird and awkward because the order in which we got the numbered papers messed up at the numbered packet that was missing. The person who was supposed to get #11 had #32 so we don't know... Hopefully, it'd turn up and anyhow, I don't think he would take points off because he's nice. I could tell he was mad though...
*mumble* *mumble*... *low shout*son of a bitch*low shout* *talk about bartending*

English Group Project

21:38
V, M, R, Dr and I had to work on a group project. We had to write a shared analysis on the last chapter of Siddhartha, produce a creative piece (each), and have draft and progress log, all attached to a board. Then we had to have all the writing on a separate portfolio... Ugh. So we finally decided to start working on it since it's due tomorrow. I arrived at R's house at like 2:00. The rest couldn't show up due to sickness, celebration, and other mysterious occurrences.

R's mom left fruit and purple blue chips for us when her parents went out. R and I started making the outside of the board (now that I think about it, there wasn't really a point since it was totally our own idea and we just gave ourselves more work; all for the sake of earning points for creativity!) Then we had a really long break. We listened to each others' music and look at some of P's Facebook pictures (:P who knew P, Dn, and B hung out together?!) After all this, I freeloaded food off R (whole grains bread---there's like, everything in there, tea---the tea ball is awesome o_o, and milk :P) We just finished the optional outside when her parents came home.

We started the inside. We made a tree collage :P We laminated it. There was a shortage of the same shade of blue construction paper. We ended up making a fucked up mosaic of different shaded, large squared, construction paper (my cousins' paper cutter comes in good use at times like these)---half of which, I didn't notice until it was almost time for me to go home so I had to hurry. We laminated Brahman too.
Spray Glue Pros & Cons
Cons Pros
  • It's quick.
  • It's cool.
Pros Cons
  • It stinks.
  • It sprays everywhere.
  • It's not as sticky as it should be.
Conclusion: Don't bother with Spray Glue.

In the end, I had to go home. We didn't finish much...only like 1/2 the board. I bet no one in our group even started their creative piece (I probably won't finish mine either.... Our class meetings didn't consist enough of group discussion so the share analysis couldn't be done. We are screwed.

My finals are coming up. I didn't start studying at all. My global and biology finals are on Wednesday. Those are the subjects I suck at most and need to study the most---FYI; I am screwed.

P.S. R, the third eye on Brahman, needs the whites behind the pupil. Try white-out? O.o

Yes, I know I'm blogging when I should be finishing my spanish and math homework, write the draft essay for my biology final, and finish the english shit. I tend to do this a lot---especially when I'm too lazy to bother or too anxious from worry.

Edit: Lol, Thanks Janie, for pointing out my Pros and Cons error :3

Late Start

17:18

Apparently one of my nightmares came true because today, I was late for school. Something went wrong with my mom's alarm so she couldn't wake up to wake me up at the usual time. I actually woke up at 7, the time when I'm supposed to be leaving the house. I go to the train station to see 1-9 period students =3= It's to early for them~ they should stay home later so they won't have to make a big crowd to get into the school ;_; Lucky for me, I'm smart enough to transfer to the R train at 59th street instead of Atlantic-Pacific. No offense, but I find people who don't transfer when the train is right there, pretty stupid. They'd rather stay on a crowded train and wait to transfer later, than go to the train they'd transfer to anyway when it still had seats and it was right there in front of them. Today, the N train arrived at Atlantic later than the R (usually, it's the other way around for me), so the R closed its doors and left when the N train came into the station---bet that would teach those people next time if they got the transfer early idea into their heads.

We started talking about writing in English today and the teacher asked who wrote everyday and boasted about he used to write 3-4 hours everyday in the past (inhuman thoughts: lowlife). Does typing on a blog count for writing daily?
